It seems as though the long-awaited iPad 3 is finally going to be announced by Apple. Although the projected date for when they will unveil the next iPad is not in the immediate future, as in its not within the next couple weeks, it is close enough to make sure we all don’t lose interest or patience and buy a Samsung tablet instead. The date for when Apple will unveil their next-generation iPad is apparently set to be on March 7th, so this will be a date that all tech geeks are going to want to mark and leave open on their calendars (we marked in in ours!).
The information comes from various sources that are supposed to be fairly reliable within Apple. However, quite unsurprisingly it has not been formally announced by Apple, just yet. Some people may be quick to second guess how accurate these sources are, but it is important to remember that this would line up well with the release date that we saw with the second iPad and past reports made by AllThingsD and The New York Times.
iPad 3 Likely To Feature High-Res Retina Display
The iPad 3 is expected to have some pretty exciting things that is going to tempt non-tablet owners into considering the purchasing of one, even if you have no plans of buying one.The iPad 3 is expected to finally carry a high-resolution Retina Display as well as a redesigned and slightly larger body than the iPad 2 that would allow for a much more powerful battery. Many are almost certain that the iPad 3 will also have Siri built into it, as it seems like something Apple will begin featuring in all their products going forward.
When we finally find out what the iPad 3 will actually feature, it might also indirectly shed some light on their other anticipated products like the iPhone 5. For instance, Apple’s A5 processor was shared by the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2. If Apple were to continue on with this apparent trend, then the processor we could potentially see built into the iPad 3 may very well be the process behind the iPhone 5 when it is expected to come out sometime this Summer or Fall.
The big question here then would be whether or not Apple is finally going to make the jump from a dual-core processor to one that has a quad-core processor (four instead of two). The next few weeks will definitely be insightful as more and more information is gradually leaked, but nothing is official until Apple does one of their famous product launches!
