If you’ve never heard of the Google X Lab, well you’re in for quite the surprise, especially if Google lifts the covers off the project as they are expected to do today. First uncovered by the New York Times, this sworn to secrecy group is supposedly working on projects that only your wildest dreams could imagine. Think driver-less cars, and more advanced robots than ever before, or even social integrated dishes that you eat your food on.
Do we have your attention yet? Well there’s reportedly a secret event going on today to uncover the X lab, and more evidence has leaked as Google purchased and unleashed wesolveforx.com. The existing website currently houses an iframe from an organization known as TBA Global LLC which is a marketing agency who will likely be heading up the promotion and Press Release to broadcast the details to the masses of curiosity filled enthusiasts.
We Solve For X is Radical & Advanced
The “solve for x” website details show “Solve for X is a place where the curious can go to hear and discuss radical technology ideas for solving global problems. Radical in the sense that the solutions could help billions of people. Radical in the sense that the audaciousness of the proposals makes them sound like science fiction. And radical in the sense that there is some real technology breakthrough on the horizon to give us all hope that these ideas could really be brought to life.” Shockingly similar to the details and information that we currently know about the Google X Lab, so it’s very convincing and likely that they are connected.
Even more evidence can be seen by the just launched YouTube Channel (wesolveforx). Apparently this conference is going on today to reveal all of the details to insiders, and some uncovering by the folks over at AndroidPolice shows that a man by the name of Richard DeVaul who used to work as a Senior Prototype Scientist at Apple is now onboard with Google and is attending the conference. DeVaul’s new job title is known as “Rapid Evaluator.” Sounds like he will be the separation between something that’s just an idea and something that actually comes to fruition, no matter how science fiction it might sound.
You can expect to grab all the presentation footage that they want to reveal to the public on the “wesolveforx” YouTube channel. DeVaul tweeted that he was “attending a fascinating, invite-only gathering of global innovators called “solve for x.” Big challenges, radical innovations, and real opportunities to make the world a better place.” All of the pieces are there, and all of the news is genuine, which means we only have to wait a bit longer to see the presentation before our eyes. Track him down on Twitter (@headcrash) and you will see that he has confirmed that the videos will be going live, and also provided other updates throughout the classified event.
