An earlier report made by CNET established news that the Motorola Xyboard would be launching in two distinct sizes; an 8.2 inch and a 10.1 inch to cater to two different users. The 8 inch tablet will set out to warm the hearts of the media lovers since it includes a built in subwoofer in its 2.1 surround sound system.
Apparently the latest premium 4G LTE tablet offered by mobile giant Verizon Wireless will be coming out at some point this month, however no set date or pricing has been revealed quite yet. The Xyboard will replace the previous poorly performing Xoom.
The design of the Motorola Xyboard is quite lavish yet tough, sporting a sleek resemblance to its cousin the Droid Razr. The tablet offers tough Gorilla Glass for its screen and has sharper edges compared to the traditional rounding by other competitors on the market.

Getting down to the nitty gritty, the two tablets will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor; and 1GB of RAM. The Honeycomb Android tablet is reportedly “thinner than a AAA battery,” and will offer two cameras: rear-facing at 5 megapixels and front facing at 1.3 megapixels for that face time chat.
It will be interesting to see how Motorola and Verizon decide to offer the premium Android tablet, especially at what price. The kindle fire and other lower budget tablets are quickly garnering steam with the Kindle Fire on a hot streak since its release. Over the past year the iPad has still remained king with a shocking report that number 2 was actually the HP TouchPad. The success of the HP TouchPad however was due to its liquidation firesale where it was discounted to a shocking $99 for their entry level model.
Further confirming the Motorola Xyboard coming to Verizon Wireless very soon is the fact that some leaked snapshots surfaced on the web of accessories rolling into the Verizon stores; so we could see these tablets as early as next week, cleverly just in time for the holiday buying frenzy.
