It isn’t often that an app gets its own article here; it usually takes something pretty special to be able to pull that off. Not long ago the Stop SOPA app was able to pull it off, and today we have the Snapseed app that was first on the iPad.
Although on the face of it, Snapseed may seem like just another one of those fancy photography apps for the iPad, it is actually a lot more than that. In fact, the power and the capability of the Snapaseed app is what won it the title of App of the year for the iPad, and now it can go for that title again on Android tablets, as it is going to be making its debut for them soon – along with the MacBook.
Snapseed Enhances Camera Abilities
If you have used the Snapseed app, or even seen it in use before, you will know that it is a very versatile program that brings out the best in the camera for the iPad. It is by all means the way the camera should’ve been when it was designed from the start. In it, you can choose from tons of different filters to lay over your picture, along with the traditional special effects to give your photos just a little bit more creativity and uniqueness. You know, that extra pizazz.
The move was first announced by the developers at CES, where it was said that it will only be making it to specific tablets that are running Ice Cream Sandwich. If you have a Samsung Tablet with Honeycomb software on it, you will not be able to run Snapseed.
The app will sell for the same price on the Android market that it did in Apple’s app store- $4.99. Although it has formally been announced by its developers, it hasn’t been released to download just yet, but we can expect to see it within a couple short months time.
