Some more information regarding the upcoming Nokia Ace for AT&T has come to light for all you people who have been patiently waiting for months for it to finally come out. For one thing, not only is AT&T’s codename for this device Eloko, but there is confirmation that the Nokia Lumia 900 will spread like wildfire across the globe as Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone. Not only is this necessary to keep Nokia relevant in the smartphone game, but it is for Microsoft as well. The smartphone will be carrying Windows 7 and a flagship product like this could work wonders for them. Nokia is still one of the worldwide leaders in phone sales, but much of this comes from Asian countries and users that opt a Nokia due to its affordability and durability.

Nokia Lumia 900 Will Use Windows Phone 7

Initially, there seemed a chance that the Ace would ship with the Tango build of Windows Phone 7, but now Mango will undoubtedly be the flavour of choice at launch. The main attributes of this device should sound familiar to Microsoft observers: 4-inch WWGA display, 512 MB of RAM, eight megapixel camera, and a 1830mAh battery.

Like most modern Nokia handsets, the Ace will contain the 1700 MHz band that’s required for the T-Mobile 3G. Considering all that, you can imagine that a “workaround to unlock that functionality will arrive with the quickness”. Another interesting fact about it is that it weighs 18 more grams than the Lumia 800. This is most likely a result of a bigger screen and LTE radio. Actually, we were able to mockup a comparison shot with the Nokia Lumia 800 with the 900 so that you can see the similarity between them. Both handsets have almost the exact same thickness of around 12 millimeters.

The final details are expected to be filled in just a few short days at CES, where it’s been rumoured that Nokia will introduce another mid-range Windows Phone, the Lumia 719.
