Although there is no denying that Windows has a long list of successful products out on the market at the moment, with the chief among them all being the Windows 7 Operating System, there seems to be something missing in just about everything that they sell; something that Apple has by the truckload.
Most people reckon this special ingredient to the Apple products has something to do with their design and their form; which has led to a cult-like following. Although Windows products like Microsoft Office and Windows 7 are very useful, there is not whole lot of inspiration going on in them; they are all function and zero form. This was something that Microsoft has slowly become synonymous with, but recently there may be a phone that will change it all; you know something that people can get inspired about, and feel attached to.
Windows Phone Creating Buzz
The new Windows Phone is something that is looking to change all of that, with their new software. Despite the fact that Microsoft may very well have a goldmine on their hands with the new phone/OS, being able to actually sell it is something that is totally different. Microsoft certainly needs to induce more following behind their products, and while products like the Zune did well, it could have done a whole lot better.
Walk into just about any wireless carrier shop and you will see the products that are being pushed the most are going to be iPhones and Android-powered phones. Customers are sometimes afraid to make the switch over to an unfamiliar operating system, and naturally, retail stores could be against investing too much into that single product too.
Microsoft realizes this, and they have now struck a deal with Nokia phones, where they will be able to push their software with much more efficacy. Both companies have high hopes for the new operating system from the company, and both agree that it is a great product, although selling and making a good product are two completely different things. Only time will tell if Microsoft will really be able to keep up with the big guys in the mobile software industry like Android and Apple’s renown iOS.
