xbox 360 New Fall Dashboard December

Microsoft rolls out new updates every so often to the user interface on the popular gaming console the Xbox 360. The latest is set to be out on December 6th 2011 and has a few goodies packed within it.

Looking a bit more sleek and “fresh,” the Xbox 360 dashboard is also being geared towards connecting the console, PC and mobile phone a bit closer together.  The company made the official announcement last night and the dashboard is currently in its beta state.

This latest update is delving deeper into support for Kinect where it will apparently provide sharper voice recognition capabilities, further showing their commitment to the motion sensor gaming scene.  Also noted by the company was how Facebook sharing would be integrated, and new content like live TV , music and movies which will be available for live streaming.

New Dashboard Subtle Yet Sleek

Some users who are already running the dashboard are enjoying the cloud save feature as well as the apparent smoothness without too many hiccups.  Still an ongoing complaint is the load times for the actual menus which hasn’t seen any love.

One would think it wouldn’t be that hard to speed up the load time between the lag experienced to load up the menu on the UI and other functions like sending a party or game invite.  Aside from this however many are linking the dashboard as a step towards resembling windows 7 or windows 8 because of the apparent cleanness of it all.

Those who don’t really care to do much else but game on their gaming console probably won’t shed too much concern on the fall update because after firing up their console they are quickly off into their latest battle royale.

If you’re an xbox kind of guy or gal then you should be thanking Microsoft for the support that they are still showing the UI, because over on the other side of the competition, Sony hasn’t updated theirs in a very long time.  Maybe that’s just their M.O. but still, fans would love to see a little change here and there, because after all change can be good.
